答：基督履行君王的职分，
（1）祂从世界中召出一个民族归祂自己（徒15:14－16；赛55:4－5；创49:10；诗110:3），赐给他们圣职人员（弗4:11－12；林前12:28）、律法（赛33:22）和裁决，祂以此有形的方式治理他们（太18:17－18；林前5:4－5）；
（2）把救赎恩典赐给选民（徒5:31），报偿他们的顺服（启22:12；2:10），纠正他们的过犯（启3:19），在各样的试探和 苦难中保守并支持他们（赛63:9），遏制并战胜他们所有的仇敌（林前15:25；诗110:1－2），为祂自己的荣耀（罗14:10－11），并为他 们的益处（罗8:28），大有权能地吩咐万有；
（3）并报应其馀那些不认识上帝，不顺服福音的人（帖后1:8－9；诗2:8－9）；如此就履行了君王的职分。
