答：在第一條誡命中說「在我面前」，這些話語教導我們，
（1） 無所不見的上帝特別注意到人另有別神之罪，大為不悅；
（2） 因此勸阻人脫離此罪，視此罪為放肆的挑釁，使其更顯嚴重（結8:5－6；詩44:20－21）。
（3） 同時，也使我們相信，不管從事何種服事，都是行在祂的眼前（代上28:9）。
