答：我们当为一切使上帝得荣耀（太6:9），教会得益处（诗51:18；122:6），我们自身（太7:11）或他人（诗125:4）得益处的事祷告；但不应为违背上帝律法的事祷告（约壹5:14）。

[1178] Matthew 6:9. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

[1179] Psalm 51:18. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Psalm 122:6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

[1180] Matthew 7:11. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
