加3:16 所應許的原是向亞伯拉罕和他子孫說的； 神並不是說「眾子孫」，指著許多人；乃是說「你那一個子孫」，指著一個人，就是基督。
羅5:15-21 只是過犯不如恩賜。若因一人的過犯，眾人都死了，何況 神的恩典，與那因耶穌基督一人恩典中的賞賜，豈不更加倍地臨到眾人嗎？因一人犯罪就定罪，也不如恩賜。原來審判是由一人而定罪，恩賜乃是由許多過犯而稱義。若因一人的過犯，死就因這一人作了王；何況那些受洪恩又蒙所賜之義的，豈不更要因耶穌基督一人在生命中作王嗎？如此說來，因一次的過犯，眾人都被定罪；照樣，因一次的義行，眾人也就被稱義得生命了。因一人的悖逆，眾人成為罪人；照樣，因一人的順從，眾人也成為義了。律法本是外添的，叫過犯顯多；只是罪在哪裡顯多，恩典就更顯多了。就如罪作王叫人死；照樣，恩典也藉著義作王，叫人因我們的主耶穌基督得永生。
賽53:10-11 耶和華卻定意(或作「喜悅」)將他壓傷，使他受痛苦。耶和華以他為贖罪祭(或作「他獻本身為贖罪祭」)。他必看見後裔，並且延長年日，耶和華所喜悅的事，必在他手中亨通。他必看見自己勞苦的功效，便心滿意足。有許多人，因認識我的義僕得稱為義，並且他要擔當他們的罪孽。

[114] Galatians 3:16. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Romans 5:15-21. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Isaiah 53:10-11. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
