78问：为何信徒的成圣在今生都不完全呢？
答：信徒的成圣在今生都不完全，这是因为他们身上各个部分仍然有罪的残 馀，肉体的情欲依然存在，不停地与圣灵相争；因此，他们经常为试探所击倒，陷落到许多罪中（罗7:18，23；可14:66；加2:11－12），各种属灵的事奉常受拦阻（来12:1），即使最好的善行，在上帝的眼中也不完美，仍有污损（赛64:6；出28:38）。

答：信徒在今生不能完全成圣，原因来自他们生命中馀留的罪，埋伏作祟，并且肉体情欲持续的与圣灵相争；他们常受试探攻击而犯罪跌倒。所以，他们一切的属灵事奉，都受到阻碍；即使是最佳的善行，在神眼中仍是不完全而且是污损的。
