八十四．当向谁祷告
179问：我们只当向上帝祷告吗？
答：是的。
（1） 惟独上帝鉴察人心（王 上8:39；徒1:24；罗8:27），垂听呼求（诗65:2），赦免诸罪（弥7:18），并满足众人各样的心愿（诗145:18－19）；
（2） 并且惟独上帝是可信的（罗10:14），惟独祂值得崇 拜（太4:10）；
（3） 因为祷告也是崇拜的一个特别部分（林前1:2），所以，只可向祂祷告（诗50:15），不可向其他任何 存在者祷告（罗10:14）。

答：只有神能鉴察人心，垂听祈求，赦免罪恶，成就众人的心愿；只有祂才是我们信靠的主，以敬虔之心来敬拜的对象；祷告是属于敬拜内容的特别部分，因此众人只应单单向祂献上祷告，不可向其他任何对象祷告。
