威斯敏斯特信条第4章
第四章 论神创造之工

一、为父、子、圣灵的神1，为彰显自己的永能、智慧与仁爱的荣耀2，就欢喜起初从无中创造原始的世界，并其中一切有形无形的事物，需时六日，并都甚好3。
二、在神造了一切其他的被造物之后，就造了人，男人女人4，他们拥有理性的与不朽的灵魂5，又本着自己的形像赋与他们知识、仁义和真圣洁6，虽有神的律法写在他们的心里7，且有履行律法的能力8，然而在干犯（律法）的可能性之下，即被任凭自己的意志，所以这意志是可以改变的9。除了这在他们心中所写下的律法以外，他们受到不可吃分别善恶树上的果子的命令；他们遵守这命令时，就能得到与神相交的幸福10，又能统治被造之物11。

一．圣父、圣子、圣灵三一上帝为彰显祂永能、智慧和慈爱的荣耀， 就按祂自己的美意，在起初，于六日之内，从无中创造了世界及其中有形无形的万物，并且都是很好的（创1；来11:3；西1:16；徒17:24）。
二．上帝在造了其它一切受造物之后，就造男造女（创1:27），有理性和不灭的灵魂（创2:7；传12:7；路 23:43；太10:28），按祂自己的形像赋予知识、公义和真圣洁，（创1:26；西3:10；弗4:24），并把上帝的律法写在他们心里（罗2:14－15），使他们有能力遵行上帝的律法（传7:29）；但是，上帝让他们 有自由按自己的意志行事，而这意志又是可变的，因此便有干犯律法的可能性（创3:6；传7:29）。除这 写在他们心里的律法以外，他们还领受了不可吃分别善恶树上的果子的禁令；他们遵守这命令时，就与上帝相交，以此为乐（创2:17；3:8－11，23），又对万物拥有治理的权柄（ 创1:26，28）。
