答：人堕落至罪恶状态中，其罪恶在于：亚当初次犯罪的罪咎，起初仁义的丧失，人性全然的败坏（通常称为「原罪」），还有人本身从罪性而发出的一切过犯。

18 Q. Wherein consists the sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell?

A. The sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell, consists in the guilt of Adam’s first sin, the want of original righteousness, and the corruption of his whole nature, which is commonly called Original Sin, together with all actual transgressions which proceeds from it.

25 问：人堕落后，陷入怎样的罪恶景况中？

答：人堕落后，陷入罪恶的景况，是：

（一）承担亚当首次犯罪的罪究，

（二）丧失被造之时的原有仁义，

（三）人性全然的败坏，并继续倾向一切邪恶，所以对一切属灵的良善只有厌恶，抵挡，又全然无能。这就是通常所说的「原罪」，并由此罪性产生出所有思想与行

为上的罪过。

Q. 25. Wherein consisteth the sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell?

A. The sinfulness of that estate whereinto man fell, consisteth in the guilt of Adam's first sin, the want of that righteousness wherein he was created, and the corruption of his nature, whereby he is utterly indisposed, disabled, and made opposite unto all that is spiritually good, and wholly inclined to all evil, and that continually; which is commonly called original sin, and from which do proceed all actual transgressions.

26问：「原罪」是如何从我们的始祖传递到后代子孙？

答：「原罪」是借着自然生育；从我们的始祖传递到后代子孙， 所以，凡是从亚当夏娃借着生育而出生的后裔，都是在罪 恶中怀胎的。

A. Original sin is conveyed from our first parents unto their posterity by natural generation, so as all that proceed from them in that way are conceived and born in sin.

6.4由于这与生聚来的败坏，我们对一切的良善全无意愿、毫无能力、全然反对，并且完全倾向所有邪恶；我们从这败坏罪性中，衍生出本身所行的所有过犯。

6.5在今生，此败坏罪性仍存留在已蒙重生之人里面。虽然此败坏罪性，借着基督得赦免且被治死，但是此罪性与其所生发的一切活动，实在真是罪恶。

6.6每一个罪 (不论是原罪或本罪) 都是违犯上帝公义的律法，也是悖逆上帝的律法；因此，每一个罪按照其性质，招致罪究归在罪人身上。罪人因此缘故必定遭受上帝的忿怒与律法的咒诅，结果服在死权之下，遭受一切灵命的、今生的、永远的愁苦。
