答：基督执行君王的职分，在于使我们降服归向祂，治理保护我们，并且克制得胜祂与我们的一切仇敌。
26 Q. How does Christ execute the office of a king?
A. Christ executes the office of a king, in subduing us to Himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all His and our enemies.
45问：基督如何执行祂的君王职分？
答：基督执行祂的君王职分，在于：
（1）将子民从世人中呼召出来归属祂自己，赐给他们领袖，律法，劝诫，祂以这些有形的体制来治理他们；
（2）赐下救恩给祂的选民，当他们顺服时，赐福赏赐他们；当他们犯罪时，管教归正他们；在他们所受的一切试探与苦难中，祂保护托住他们；压制并得胜他们一切的仇敌；
（3）对于其余那些不认识神，不顺服福音者，祂施行公义刑罚。
Q. 45. How doth Christ execute the office of a king?
A. Christ executeth the office of a king, in calling out of the world a people to himself, and giving them officers, laws, and censures, by which he visibly governs them; in bestowing saving grace upon his elect, rewarding their obedience, and correcting them for their sins, preserving and supporting them under all their temptations and sufferings, restraining and overcoming all their enemies, and powerfully ordering all things for his own glory, and their good; and also in taking vengeance on the rest, who know not God, and obey not the gospel.
8.1上帝按祂永远的旨意，喜悦选定祂的独生子主耶稣，作神人之间的中保﹔身为中保，祂是先知、祭司、君王、教会的元首和救主，承受万有、审判世界；上帝从万古之先就将一群百姓赐给祂为后裔，而且到了时候，借着祂得赎、蒙召、称义、成圣、得荣。
