問： This is not right. God never allows man to pick the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Gen 2:17. Therefore, you cannot said that God gave man a choice to choose eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and the tree of life.

1. God created the Universe in a concept of "unity in diversity". Even man was created different from woman. Even every man or woman was created different from each other over the whole whole world. God's concept of "equality" is different from man's. God gives a person more talents or more resources and He will demand more from him in terms of responsibilities in this world. Everyone in the future needs to be accountable to God for what God gives them before His judgement seat.

2. God gave a comand to Adam not to eat the fruit of good and evil (Gen 2:17). It is a comand from Him to Adam, the response is only one: yes or no. Just like today, we are warned that we should not take any drug, otherwise we will surely bear the consequence. Our response is ony one: yes or no. This comand is not an alternative choice (like the choice he can make to pick any other kinds of fruits to eat and there is no harm by making this choice in the Garden of Eden). There is a differnce between the contrary choice (comand or warning) and alternative choice. Today we will do the same mistake like Adam did if we don't take the warning (like taking the drug) very seriously. This is a very challenging question. I hope that my explanation will help.
