Conversion story I spent my happy childhood in north China. I was the only child in family and my parents were both atheists. After graduation from university, I packed all my dreams and ambition to Shanghai to start a brand new life. I was very passionate to work and hoping to see all my dreams become true. But deepen in my heart, the empty feeling never disappeared. I also looked for truth in Buddhism and Taoism, but the false truth made me very frustrated. It was the turning point when I was invited to a Christian church in 2009. When I saw the lyric “Jesus, the light of the world”, my tears fell. I knew it was the only God brought me there. That afternoon when I sat on the pew, my tears fell again. God knew all my hurts, struggles, frustrations and emptiness. I was embraced by his infinite love. The empty feeling was gone and I was illuminated by God’s love. Months later, one evening while walking on a street, I felt overwhelmingly ashamed about my sins and deeply sorrowed for them. I could not stand in front of the awesome God. I truly knew that I should be the one in hell by God’s righteous judgment and there was nothing anybody could do to change it. It was unbelievable that God accepted me, because even I could not accept myself. I prayed to God “If you really would like to pardon my sins, I will believe in you and serve you in the rest of my life.” By his amazing grace, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior that night.
